Taylor Momsen Interview interview. Are you only inspired by male musicians?Actually, one of my first favorite records was the debut Garbage album, which I heard when I was very young. Shirley Manson is a great female vocalist and performer and I admire her for that. But yeah, I do emulate men more, I grew up on Oasis, Soundgarden, AC/DC, The Beatles. I am trying to do my own thing, but there will always be comparisons, even if I don‘t agree with them.
Any makeup tricks? I have a bounty of products. Bedhead's black eyeliner is really good, it lasts a long time, but the only thing is you can't smear it, so I have smudge black eyeshadow around it. Also, lately I have been using red eye makeup! Where do you buy your outfits?
Stripper stores mainly. Especially for shoes. I bought them [The stripper heels with tip cup] because they were tall. [PAUSE] Seriously. I like to wear platform heels onstage and they're actually hard to find. But fans started putting money in them, so now they are filled with tons of bills. It's pretty amazing.
On her controversial song 'Goin' Down': It really is just a story and people have made a big deal of it. I grew up Catholic and there were elements in that which meant something to me, but when we wrote this song, it was during the time that all the molestation in the church was going on. Taylor Momsen 411mania interview. Does the negative media attention bother her? 'I don't even own a computer! But's it's funny, seeing how upset people get. I'm just being me, why is that such a big deal?' Is there a feud with Miley Cyrus?
'I don't even know Miley. There's just no comparison between us, you know. I'm a rocker, she's a pop star. We're entirely different things, there's a big difference between us. I have nothing against her, I don't even know her.
I just don't listen to her stuff. I don't give a sh*t. It's ridiculous that Disney is as relevant as it is today even with adults. Where is the real music? What happened to Zeppelin, and people who play their own instruments? There's always going to be pop but it's not real music, it's not me.'
Is the 'Make Me Wanna Die' music video going to be released? 'It's tied up in legal right now. It's not my favorite cut but it's still good.' It is too controversial? 'Let's just say it's tied up in legal and leave it at that.'

Taylor Momsen, who was compared to Courtney Love by her Gossip Girl costar Chace Crawford ['She's very Courtney Love actually'], rejects the comparison. She told Entertainment Weekly: 'I don't wanna be Courtney Love, I wanna be Kurt Cobain. He's brilliant and his songs are genius.
The Hole records are great. Everyone always compares me to Courtney Love because they think we, like, dress the same and we both have blonde hair, wear lipstick and dresses. But I'm sorry, don't a lot of girls dress like that? I look at Nirvana. I don't look at Hole.'
Taylor isn't close with her Gossip Girl castmates: 'I'm not really close with my cast. We're all cordial and nice to each other, but we're not really friends outside of the set.'
