MTV Defends SKINS US Sexy Content

MTV has defended the US adaptation of Skins even though Taco Bell pulled ads from the show insisting the show is 'not a fit' for their brand. Executives at MTV said: 'Skins features real-world issues confronting teens in a frank way.. We are confident that the episodes of Skins will not only comply with all applicable legal requirements, but also with our responsibilities to our viewers.'

Skins US Child Porn Investigation Request

Parents Television Council sent a letter to the US Department of Justice and the US Senate and House Judiciary Committees concerning how MTV show 'Skins'uses underage actors in graphic sexual situations. They're requesting a federal investigation into potential child pornography violations, reports TMZ.

'In addition to the sexual content on the show involving cast members as young as 15, PTC counted 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the premiere episode. It is clear that Viacom has knowingly produced material that may well be in violation of [several anti-child pornography laws].'
